About Verdan – authorised asbestos removal in North Jutland and Zealand

Asbestos is not a do-it-yourself project. That is why the work is regulated.

Asbestos fibres are harmful to health once released, and that happens as soon as someone drills, breaks or sands asbestos-containing materials. That is why, since 1 January 2025, demolition of asbestos-containing material requires an authorisation, and since 21 December 2025 everyone working with asbestos must hold the statutory occupational health and safety training. At Verdan, the responsible professional holds the authorisation for asbestos demolition, and everyone who carries out asbestos work for us holds the statutory training.

A job with us always runs in the same order. We inspect and take an asbestos sample if the material has not already been tested. We notify the Danish Working Environment Authority before we start. On site we seal off the work area and run it under negative pressure for indoor removal. Then we take the material down, pack it and drive it to an approved receiver. Finally we check the area and send you documentation for both the removal and the disposal.

For you, that means you know what will happen before it happens. You get a fixed quote in writing after the inspection, and the price in the quote is the price on the invoice. If we find more along the way than we could see at the inspection, you get a new written quote before we continue.

How we work. Four things you can hold us to.

Authorised and trained

Verdan's responsible professional holds the authorisation for demolition of asbestos-containing material, and everyone who carries out asbestos work for us holds the statutory training. What you buy is authorised asbestos removal.
Notified and sealed off

The work is notified to the Danish Working Environment Authority before we start, and the work area stays sealed off for as long as we are there. For indoor removal we work under negative pressure.
A fixed quote in writing

After the inspection you get a written quote, and it says what is included. The price in the quote is the price on the invoice. If we find more along the way, you get a new quote before we continue.
Documented disposal

All asbestos waste is packed and delivered to an approved receiver. You get documentation for the removal and the disposal, which you can use when the roof is replaced or the property is sold.

How we secure the work. Five steps that limit the spread of asbestos fibres.

Sealing off: The work area is sealed off and signed, and nobody enters without protective equipment while work is under way.
Negative pressure and airlock: For indoor removal we enclose the area in plastic and run it under negative pressure, so air is drawn into the area and not out of it. We enter and leave through an airlock.
Protective equipment: Everyone in the area wears respiratory protection and a disposable suit, and the suits are disposed of as asbestos waste together with the material.
Check before release: We clean and go over the area before the barrier comes down. Where a measurement is required, we release the area only once the clearance measurement is in order.
Approved receiver: The asbestos waste is packed in sealed packaging, labelled and driven to an approved receiver. You get documentation for the disposal along with the rest of the paperwork.
