Authorised asbestos removal for business is less about the removal itself and more about everything around it: survey, notification, schedule, keeping the building in use alongside the work, and documentation that holds up when someone asks in three years. Here you can read how we work for housing associations, property managers, contractors and public clients, and what you need ready before we can quote.

Who we work for

What the jobs have in common is that they have more stakeholders than one homeowner, and that the documentation has to be readable by people other than us. What sets them apart is what you need us to take care of.

Housing associations and property managers

Replacing the roof on a whole estate, pipe insulation in basements or bathrooms in many flats at once. We plan in stages so residents can stay, write the resident information together with you, and hand over one case file per property that the board and the manager can base the maintenance plan on.

Contractors and demolition

Asbestos that turns up in the middle of a conversion, or environmental removal that has to be finished before demolition can begin. We come in as a subcontractor, follow your QA procedures and site meetings, seal our own zone and document our own work so your site management has a complete picture without having to assemble it themselves. We coordinate with the trades that have to come in before and after us.

Municipalities and public clients

Schools, institutions and offices that have to stay in use while the work goes on, and documentation requirements written into the tender. We work from your consultant’s survey, report in the format you require, and schedule work in common areas and plant rooms outside opening hours where needed.

Businesses

Production, warehouse or office where operations cannot stop for three weeks. We remove zone by zone so the rest of the building can be used, and agree with you when heating, water and ventilation are off, and when they are back.

Environmental screening before you demolish or convert

Before demolition, renovation or larger maintenance that affects more than 10 m² or produces more than 1 tonne of waste, you as the building owner must under the waste rules screen the building for problematic substances, map the finds and notify the waste to your municipality. Asbestos is one; lead, PCB, chlorinated paraffins and heavy metals are the others. The waste notification to the municipality is filed in your name and is separate from the notification to the Working Environment Authority that we file as the contractor; we help with the figures. If you have an environmental report from your consultant, we work from it. If you don’t, we do the asbestos part: we go through the building, sample the materials the project goes into, send them for laboratory analysis and deliver a survey with sample locations, results and extent. That is the basis a tender or a quote should be built on. Read more on the page about the asbestos survey.

Notification and authorisation

Since 1 January 2025, demolition of asbestos-containing material requires an authorisation, and since 21 December 2025 everyone carrying out the work must hold the occupational health and safety training that the Danish Working Environment Authority requires. Our responsible professional holds the authorisation, and our people have the training. The work is notified to the Working Environment Authority before it starts, and you get a copy.

If we come onto your site as a subcontractor, we coordinate the notification with your health and safety plan, and you get the documentation for the authorisation and the training for your building file.

Schedule and keeping the building in use

A school cannot close for three weeks, and a housing association cannot send every resident to a hotel. So we plan in zones: each area is sealed with an airlock and negative pressure, cleared, cleaned, measured by agreement and released before the next area is closed. Work in common areas, plant rooms and basements is scheduled outside opening hours where needed, and residents and users are told when which areas are closed and when heating and water are off.

The schedule is in the quote, and it holds unless we find more asbestos than the survey showed. If that happens, we stop, document the find and agree an updated quote with you before we continue.

Documentation you can build on

After the removal you get one complete case file per property or stage. It contains:

  • A copy of the notification to the Working Environment Authority.
  • Laboratory results for the materials that were tested.
  • The sealing and work plan with the zones and materials the work covered.
  • The receipt from the approved waste site for the asbestos waste delivered.
  • The check before release: a description of the cleaning and inspection, and the clearance measurement result where one was agreed.

All in a format that goes straight into your quality assurance, property file or whatever the auditor and the board ask for. Encapsulated material that stays in place is labelled and recorded so the next tradesperson knows what is underneath.

Price and quotes for business

All prices on this page and in our quotes to business are excl. VAT. You get a fixed written quote after a site visit, on the extent the survey shows. The price in the quote is the price on the invoice; it only changes if the extent does, and then always with a new written quote before we continue.

Before we can quote, we need a survey of where the asbestos sits and to what extent. If you have an environmental report from your consultant, we build on it. If you don’t, we do the screening first so the quote is based on what is actually in the building. What drives the price, and what a quote always includes, is on the pricing page.

Working with your consultant

If you have an environmental consultant, client adviser or health and safety coordinator on the job, we work from their survey and report to them in the format they use. If you don’t, we say so when the job is big enough that you should have one. We don’t advise on how to tender, but we make sure that what you tender is based on what is actually in the building.

Questions and answers

Write to us if your question isn't answered here.

Can you remove asbestos while the property is in use?

Yes. We work zone by zone with an airlock and negative pressure so the rest of the building can be used, and we schedule work outside opening hours where needed. Residents and users are told when which areas are closed.

Do we have to notify the Working Environment Authority ourselves?

No. We notify the work as the company carrying it out, and you get a copy. If we are a subcontractor on your site, we coordinate the notification with your health and safety plan. The waste notification to the municipality, however, is filed in your name as the building owner; we help with the figures.

What documentation do we get after the job?

One complete case file: a copy of the notification to the Working Environment Authority, the laboratory results, the sealing and work plan, the receipt from the approved waste site and a description of the work carried out with the check before release – the clearance measurement result where one was agreed. All of it ready to go straight into your quality assurance or property file.

How soon can you start?

We agree that after the site visit, based on your schedule. The work has to be notified to the Working Environment Authority before it starts, and for larger jobs your waste notification to the municipality also has to be in place. Start and stages are in the quote, so you can plan operations and resident information around them.

What does asbestos removal for business cost?

It depends on material, extent, access and how much ongoing use has to be accommodated. All prices are excl. VAT, and you get a fixed written quote after a site visit. What drives the price is on the pricing page.
