Each m² is billed at the rate for the tier it falls in. The bigger the roof, the more of its m² land in the cheaper tiers.

Price per m² for corrugated sheets and fibre-cement slates
Each rate applies only to the m² that fall within its tier. On a big roof, you get the lower rate on the m² above the threshold, not on the whole roof. Slates cost more than corrugated sheets, because every small piece has to be loosened, kept whole and packed.
Brittle or cracked sheets give off more dust and take longer to remove. The calculator doesn't account for the roof's condition, but the final quote does.

- Packing in approved big bags or sealed plastic

- Documentation for you: a copy of the notification and the waste receipt
Not included in the price
- Scaffolding, which we can put up for a fee
- A new roof and new roofing
- Reinstating battens, underlay and flashings
- Unforeseen finds, e.g. asbestos under the roof or in ceilings. You get a new written quote before we deal with them
What does it cost to remove asbestos indoors?
Indoors, you get a written quote rather than a per-m² price.

Tile adhesive and floors
We remove asbestos in tile adhesive, vinyl floors and floor filler under negative pressure, room by room. The price depends on the number of m² and on how firmly the adhesive holds.

Pipe insulation
Diatomite and asbestos insulation on pipes and boilers. The price depends on how many metres of pipe there are and how easy they are to get at.

Ceilings and walls
Ceiling boards, wall boards and asbestos-containing plaster. The price depends on the number of m² and on how easily the boards come down whole.

Asbestos survey
Samples of the suspect materials are analysed by a laboratory before you demolish or renovate. The price depends on how many samples are needed, and you get the price in writing before the first sample is taken.

What does removing an asbestos roof cost per m²?
The price per m² depends on the roof type and on how big the roof is. Each m² is billed at the tier it falls in, so the bigger the roof, the lower the price per m²: corrugated sheets cost DKK 380/m² for the first 50 m², DKK 375/m² from 51 to 100 m², DKK 370/m² from 101 to 300 m² and DKK 365/m² above 300 m²; fibre-cement slates cost DKK 440, 430, 420 and 385/m² in the same tiers. All rates include VAT. Removal, packing, transport to an approved receiving facility and the landfill fee are in the rate. Indicative price – final quote after assessment. Is the price from the calculator binding?
No. The calculator gives an indicative price from the roof type and roof area. We write the final quote from your details, and the price in it is fixed. If something turns up that nobody could see in advance, such as asbestos under the roofing sheets, you get a new written quote before we go any further.
Is disposal included in the price?
Yes, disposal is in the per-m² price. We pack the sheets, drive them to an approved receiving facility, pay the landfill fee and give you the receipt. Notification, protective sheeting, protective equipment and the removal itself are included too. Scaffolding, a new roof and reinstatement are not.
Is scaffolding included in the price, and what does it cost?
No, the per-m² price does not include scaffolding. If you don't have your own, we put it up on an ordinary single-storey house for DKK 15,625 incl. VAT (DKK 12,500 excl. VAT), and the calculator shows the price both with and without it. If the house has two storeys, high eaves or difficult access, we come out free of charge and look at it before we price the scaffolding. Indicative price – final quote after assessment.
Does the calculator deduct subsidies?
No, the calculator always shows the full price with no subsidy deducted. There is currently no grant scheme for removing asbestos roofs, and the home-improvement tax deduction covers neither the removal nor a new roof. Ask your municipality whether it has a fund.
Is a new roof included in the price?
No. We price the asbestos removal on its own, so you can compare it line by line with other quotes. If the roof is being replaced, the removal appears as a separate line, and the carpenter or roofing firm takes care of the new roof.
What if I don't know the roof area?
Choose "don't know" in the calculator. It then shows no figure, because a price worked out from a guess is no use to you. Send the enquiry with the address and the house's measurements, or the built-up area from the BBR register, and we'll work out the roof area and send a fixed quote in writing. If we can't, or you'd rather we measure it, we come out free of charge.
